Truths on Giving
You don’t grow by receiving , you grow by giving.
Giving is the cure to greed.
Givers get special attention. Acts 10:22
Giving releases Grace.

7 Kinds Of offering a man should give

1. Worship Offering :
Deut 16:16 ““Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Passover) and at the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) and at the Feast of Booths (Tabernacles), and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.”

2. Thanksgiving Offering:
2 Chronicle 29:31 “Then Hezekiah said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD; approach and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD.” And the assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and all those who were willing brought burnt offerings.”

3. Giving to the Poor:
This means that you are not poor and you don’t want to be poor. Prov 19:17 “He who is gracious and lends a hand to the poor lends to the LORD, And the LORD will repay him for his good deed.”

4. Vows Offering :

5. First fruits Offering:
Proverbs 3:9 “Honor the LORD with your wealth And with the first fruits of all your crops (income);”

6. The Prophet Offering:

1 Corinthians 9:11 “If we have sown [the good seed of] spiritual things in you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?”

7. Sacrificial Offering:
This is a painful giving. It really costs a lot. It’s like emptying your account. Psalm 50:5

8. Project Offering:
It’s for special works in church. Exodus 25:3 The results is in Exodus 36 :3 – 6 “They received from Moses all the offerings which the Israelites had brought for the construction of the sanctuary, to prepare it for service. And they continued to bring him freewill (voluntary) offerings every morning. And all the skilled men who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came, each one from the work which he was doing, and they said to Moses, “The people are bringing much more than enough for the construction work which the LORD commanded us to do.” So Moses issued a command, and it was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the sanctuary offering.” So the people were restrained from bringing anything more;”

Abraham couldn’t worship Him without giving his child and God still replaced Isaac with Ram. This is because something has to be given.

Abel understood this part of worship that he gave his best.

Don’t worship other things ( landlord, Wardrobe, Phone bills) before God. He must take the first fruit of your increase. Give God your first ten percent.

The widow gave her last portion and God blessed her.

‭‭2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭AMP‬‬
“And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.”

Acts 20:35
“In everything I showed you [by example] that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed [and brings greater joy] to give than to receive.’””

“The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:24‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Proverbs 11:24
“There is the one who [generously] scatters [abroad], and yet increases all the more; And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty.”

2 Corinthians 9:6
“Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.”

2 Chronicle 15:3-5
“Now for a long time Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest, and without [God’s] law. But when they were in their trouble and distress they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and [in desperation earnestly] sought Him, and He let them find Him. In those times there was no peace for him who went out or for him who came in, for great suffering came on all the inhabitants of the lands.”
