Gaining Momentum 2018 DAY 1
Diligence in Doing the Right thing
Bishop Feb Idahosa
“The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, But diligence is man’s precious possession.”
Proverbs 12:27 NKJV
“A lazy life is an empty life, but “early to rise” gets the job done.”
Proverbs 12:27 MSG
“The lazy man does not catch and roast his prey, But the precious possession of a [wise] man is diligence [because he recognizes opportunities and seizes them].”
PROVERBS 12:27 AMP
The most important thing a man must do is to pray and get up. Prayers are powerful but what do after the prayer makes it more powerful. To get things done and accomplished we must be ready to give ourselves to diligence.
God is ready to great things for us but there is a part we must play. He wants us to do something.
When God sends rain, he sends it to the righteous and wicked. The person that gets harvest is the one who plants or sow seeds.
Keep doing the right and gain momentum.
Things to do to get momentum:::
1. Get a vision for the year.
If you cannot see what you want to achieve this year, you will get nowhere. Vision tells me to choose my friends carefully. Vision chooses a friend for you. Some friends were in your past, vision provides the answer. If you are going no where , any friend will get you there. Vision gives you excitement and direction.
The lazy man doesn’t do what he must do. He does what is comfortable.
2. Think of what you must do to get the vision accomplished.
Amen is not a plan, it is the beginning.
You must ask right questions what? The more questions, the more answers, the more the clarity. The Better the questions, the better the answers and the more easy the vision gets accomplished.
3. Get the right habits
Habits are things we do everyday without thinking. e.g waking up to your phone, waking up to pray without thinking twice, brushing your teeth. Keep doing the right thing everyday until it becomes a habit and you will gain momentum. Better done little by little everyday consistently rather than doing it big once and not keep the consistency.
4. Learning should be one your habits
Learn something new per time. The day you stop learning you start dying. Read at least 30 mins in your field everyday, you will know better than the average man in that field in 6 months.
Dedicate yourself to learning. Pick something. It doesn’t have to be FB, IG..... all the time. Do something that add value.
5. Connect to Grace
Tap from the power that comes from connecting to men of God.
II Corinthians 12:9
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
II Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
