Text: Genesis 2:16-17

In everything we do with God, He gives us liberty but there's a part where we have to honour Him.

The devil tells us that we can disobey God and nothing will happen. That is the Biggest Lie.

The lifestyle we are living has its consequences which will definitely manifest later in life.

The first thing we should keep aside for God is the sabbath day. God did not rest after creating us because He was tired but because He wanted to show us that we are not made to work 7 days a week.

God wants us to keep a time aside everyday to spend time with Him. This is called quiet time. It is this place that He speaks to us.

Struggling Christians are not maximizing this time with God.

There are things that happen in the prayer place that keeps us going in our everyday life. 

Jesus said man must not live by bread alone but Satan comes with the lie that man should chase after bread (money, work, business etc) alone. Man is sustained by the Rhema word. Matthew 4:4

When God speaks to you, it brings hope and direction to you.

When was the last time God spoke to you? You cannot afford to lose touch with God. 

The second thing that is holy is your tithe. Leviticus 27:30.

We don't give tithes, we pay tithe. Your generosity hasn't started until you give God His tithe. Tithing is one of the ways to honour Him.

Malachi 3:8-10- This is the only place God said that we should test Him. 

Tithing did not start from the law. God used Abraham to introduce tithing.

Abraham lived 400 years before the law and Jesus Himself collected the tithe from him. Only one person is called King of Salem. Genesis 14:18-20; Hebrews 7:3

Jacob also paid tithe. This was also before the law.

Tithe means one-tenth. Your tithing shows that you are in an active covenant with God.
